I guess we didn't get enough hours in the car driving 19 hours out here to Texas, because we drove another 5 to San Antonio last weekend! :) We wanted to get the trip in before Janelle left (this past Wednesday) and before it got way too hot to enjoy it! Friday we went downtown to see The Alamo and Riverwalk, Saturday went to SeaWorld, and Sunday made a stop at the San Antonio temple and visited a friend who worked at Squire with me.
It was a fun trip other than a construction zone that was 65 miles (each way) and we drove about 12 miles per hour instead of 75! The beautiful sunflower fields along the way made up for it, though. This trip we noticed two more things about Texas: Huge church buildings on every corner and the Texas Flag being flown more than the United States Flag. :) Texas Pride I guess!
SeaWorld was our favorite part of the trip. Dallin loved the aquariums, penguins, dolphins, fish, and bounced to the music playing at the shows. He was able to take naps in the heat and even slept through the loud music of the "Shamu Rocks" night show. He also slept 10 hours through the night when we got home, so I guess we should road trip more often!
